Visit and exhibition of how the Andalusian horses dance at the Royal School of Equestrian Art of Jerez, (Cádiz)
There are three type of visit:
[h3]- The Full Visit (Monday, Wednesday, friday and special days): [/h3] Guided or on your own through the Visitor Reception Center, where you can enjoy in the audiovisual room a wonderful explanatory video that introduces you to the history of equestrian art in Andalusia. (until 11:00)
Then you access the gardens that, with a variety of exotic plants and the age of some specimens, can be considered as a small Botanical Garden. the Recreo de las Cadenas Palace, a beautiful example of nineteenth-century architecture, designed by Charles Garnier that houses a rich cultural offer. After this, you can admire the place where our harnesses are made and repaired. This laborious work is carried out in the Saddlery by the master harness maker and his apprentices.
We are going to enjoy the practice on the outdoor courts and find the Picadero, a building designed in the purest Andalusian style that combines the colours of the pipeclay and the pure white of the Andalusian houses. With a capacity for 1,600 people, it is the ideal place to see the daily training of our horses with their riders.
From here, we go to the stables, an octagonal complex composed of 5 blocks in which our most emblematic horses are visited. Right in the center of the stables is the tack room, where all the harnesses are stored that are used both for daily training and for shows.
The Enganche Museum culminates the tour offering the possibility to admire carriages, harnesses, horses and equestrian clothing together.

In the gardens you will find the Picadero, a building in the purest Andalusian style with a capacity for 1,600 people, it is the place where the show "How the Andalusian horses dance" is represented, an authentic equestrian ballet with purely Spanish music and costumes in the style from the 18th century, mounted on choreographies taken from the reprises of dressage, cowgirl and other traditional horse riding. In each performance, 6 to 8 choreographies are performed, with a duration of 90 minutes. On the same day you can also make the Reduced Visit.
